Our dog is 7 years old and had a lot of behavioral issues, including fear-based aggression and biting, that my husband and I just didn’t know how to work with. We’d tried group classes before – which were helpful for teaching some basic commands, but didn’t really teach us how to address the behavioral stuff. We were desperate to find someone who could teach us how to help our dog. Koru K9 was pricy – like all private dog training – but 100% worth the investment. Our trainer, Damien, took the time to understand what we were dealing with and showed us how work with our dog to reward good behavior, and correct bad behavior. And he’s like a completely different dog now! Things like going for walks are so much less stressful than before. He doesn’t pull anymore, he listens to us, and is much more comfortable having people and other dogs walk by. We can actually take him places now. He’s more confident out in the world and we’re more confident in helping him navigate different situations. He’s not perfect by any means, and it’s definitely a lot of on-going work! But it’s paid off and we’re willing to keep doing the work to give our dog a better life. I highly recommend the investment in training with Koru. It’s drastically improved our quality of life.
