We cannot express enough gratitude for the transformative work Haley and Trey from Koru K9 have done with our 9-year-old Cavapoo (half King Charles Cavalier, half Poodle). Our dog has always been incredibly smart but equally stubborn, with a strong tendency to react to almost anything and snap when handled. However, with him being food-motivated, we knew there was hope.
We enrolled him in the 4-week board and train program with Haley and Trey, and we are thrilled to say that about 90% of his issues have been resolved. It turns out you can teach an older dog new tricks! Thanks to their incredible dedication and love—treating our dog as if he were their own—we can now enjoy peaceful walks without him reacting and barking at every little thing.
Haley kept us in the loop throughout the entire process, regularly updating us on his progress with pictures, videos & highly thorough emails. It was evident that both she and Trey are not only passionate but also highly knowledgeable about canine behavior. One of our biggest concerns was that our dog might lose his personality during training, but he’s still his same spunky, loving self—just more confident and much less reactive to his surroundings.
We’ve noticed a newfound trust between our dog and us, allowing us to better advocates for him. Thank you, Haley and Trey, for truly changing our lives. Highly recommended them to everyone!
