Working with Maloree has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my dog. The transformation is honestly remarkable. My girl came home leash trained, responsive, and calm in a way I didn’t even know was possible. Walks used to be stressful, but now she ignores other animals completely and stays focused and confident beside me.

One of the biggest wins is that she no longer gets on the furniture which is something I thought would be impossible to break. The structure and consistency Maloree taught her has carried over seamlessly at home.

And maybe the most surprising part:
My dog now cohabitates peacefully with cats. That alone feels like a miracle. The patience, skill, and understanding it took to help her reach that level of regulation says everything about the quality of Maloree’s training.

Where do I start? Short answer: HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Long answer: My 2 y/o dog, Gamble, spent 3 weeks with Maloree (Portland, OR area) to address leash reactivity and other non-aggressive, excitable behaviors – and the results have been AWESOME. Gamble came home with significantly improved leash skills, a renewed obedience structure, and, subsequently, great improvements in almost all areas of behavior including recall and just general obedience. Maloree spent dedicated time with me, as well, to train my abilities in order to continue his development and maintain the progress. Walks have been so much fun with the new confidence we both have, and it just keeps getting better. Walks used to be very cautious and avoidant; now walks are stimulating and productive. Nothing beats getting back from a good, long walk with a happy, tired dog. The growth of the on-leash behavior has also transferred into other areas such as off-leash recall and responsiveness in the house.

At first I was reluctant to reach out for professional training. I’m a proud “dog person” and have always just trained my dogs on my own. I thought it was perhaps an overreaction and that there wouldn’t be much to gain, but I must say I am so glad I did. It has been such a great investment and our already strong bond has only gotten stronger as a result. My dog, like many, thrives under structure and routine, and Maloree really helped get us back on a good track. Additionally, I could really tell that my dog and Maloree formed a special bond as well, and it was obvious that he was wonderfully cared for and shown a lot of love while he was in her care. From start to finish, communication was informative and professional, and the updates from Maloree during the training was really nice and reassuring. I can’t thank or recommend Maloree enough – so worth it.

I got the package with 3-sessions of private training (with one 1-2 hour consultation on top of that) and my trainer was Alex.

I have a 3.5 year old Rottweiler female that had very minor leash reactivity that suddenly got significantly worse after her sibling passed away. My usual training with her didn’t seem to help so I wanted some help to improve her quicker.

Pros of Alex/my trainer:
-She specializes in Rottweilers, Pitbulls & reactivity/aggression
-Sessions feel like going to both a dog trainer & canine behavior analyst/expert
-Has a Rottweiler that we were able to do training with, also has Pitbull but we did not use him
-She has SO much helpful knowledge for training, health, breed specific needs and anything else you can think of for your dog
-She is friendly, flexible and easy to work with
-Her training sessions were creative & very helpful

Pros of K9 as a company:
-Package came with a free month of “LunaDog AI” which has tons of video training courses to watch & an AI to ask questions about your dog. This was made by the trainers. This helped me a lot on top of the hands on training. I highly recommend watching everything on here!

Outcome: After 3 sessions I feel like I understand my dog completely and have full confidence in my ability to continue her training (reactivity training takes time). She improved significantly after only a couple of weeks and I am able to train her now in any setting without worry/stress.
